New Ark Myths develops a mythology based on significant figures, landmarks and architecture, and iconography from the City of Newark. The mythos embraces a new narrative centered on the city's history and hopes for the future.

This trans-media project is built on core community values and civic pride. Parallels are drawn from characters in Greek mythology to Newark leadership figures that have made a lasting impact. A new mapping is explored that illuminates structures that are hubs for residents and are identified as cultural institutions of our time.
